Man Stabbed Just Outside Weymouth Apartment Complex

The victim was transported to South Shore Hospital with apparent stab wounds to the abdomen, chest and shoulder, police said.

Weymouth Police are investigating a stabbing that took place late Wednesday just outside the Queen Anne's Gate apartment complex.

Police were called to the area of Colonel’s Lane at Pleasant at 10 p.m. Wednesday night after a caller reported shots were fired, but when they arrived they found a 27-year-old stab victim lying on the pavement.

The victim was transported to South Shore Hospital with apparent stab wounds to the abdomen, chest and shoulder, police said.

“The male had several apparent stab wounds and was bleeding profusely,”  Weymouth Police Captain Richard Fuller said in a written statement.

Police also found a gun nearby in the woods.

Weymouth officers were also forced to pepper spray a victim’s friend who began interfering with the police during the investigation.

Detectives are currently investigating and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
