Weymouth man faces heroin possession charges
Dennis T. Alden, 33, of 1278 Washington St., Apt. F, Weymouth was arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges of possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, possession of a Class A drug, and possession of a Class B drug. The case was continued to Jan. 15. Alden was released on personal recognizance. The charges stem from a May 11 incident in Weymouth at 1:40 p.m. when police stopped a car on Washington Street and inside they found two knotted baggies containing suspected heroin. Poilce also retrieved a blue vile containing suspected Suboxone, police said in the incident report.
Court Dismisses Assault Charges Against Wareham Man
Reginald F. Silva, 45, of 175 Swifts Beach Road, Wareham had charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and threatening to commit a crime dismissed in Quincy District Court. The charges stemmed from a Aug. 19 incident in Weymouth at 8:55 p.m. when police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a laundromat on Middle Street. The female victim allegedly sustained an abrasion on her forearm, according to the police report.
Court Dismissed Assault and Battery Charge
Rosa M. Rosario, 27, of 59 Colonel's Lane, Apt. 2, Weymouth had an assault and battery charge dismissed in Quincy District Court. The charge stemmed from a April 19 incident in Weymouth after police responded to a report of a domestic incident involving a man who said his girlfriend allegedly struck him in the head, causing bleeding, according to the police report.
