Weymouth Man Charged With Heroin Possession After Alleged Overdose
Ryan F. Preston, 26, of 72 Lone Pine Path, Weymouth was scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on a heroin possession charge but did not show up for the hearing. A judge issued a warrant to have Preston arrested. The charge stems from a Dec. 23, 2011 incident in Holbrook where police were dispatched to a Hillsdale Road residence in response to a report of a person collapsed in the driveway of an apparent heroin overdose, according to the police report.
Assault and Battery Charges Dismissed
David B. McWlater, 35, of 1277 Commercial St., Apt. 1, Weymouth had two counts of assault and battery dismissed in Quincy District Court. The charges stemmed from a Sept. 2 incident in Weymouth at 3:05 p.m. when police responded to a report of woman having been assaulted by her boyfriend.
Weymouth Man charged for Allegedly Leaving Crash Scene
Brian P. McLaughlin, 25, of 84 Essex St., Weymouth was arraigned in Quincy District Court on a charge of leaving the scene of a property damage accident. The case was continued to Dec. 12. McLaughlin was released on personal recognizance. The charge stems from a Nov. 25, 2011 incident in Holbrook where police were dispatched to the North Franklin Street and Johns Avenue intersection in response to a report of a motor vehicle accident. Police said one of the vehicles allegedly left the accident scene before the driver exchanged information with the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash.
