Police: Man in ‘Scream’ Mask Robs Weymouth CVS With Gun

Police say the armed suspect took prescription pills from the CVS pharmacy safe.

Weymouth Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed the Washington Street CVS Pharmacy on Halloween morning while wearing a “Scream” mask.

According to police, the masked suspect walked over to the pharmacy's barrier around 1:49 a.m. Wednesday, lifted up his shirt to reveal a firearm in his waistband and ordered the pharmacist to open the safe.

Police say the suspect took  an undetermined amount of prescription pills from the safe, placed them in a black trash bag and exited the store through the front door.

The suspect is described as a 6 foot tall male wearing a dark blue Patriots hooded sweatshirt, black warm up pants with a white stripe down the side.  At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a mask from the popular movie, “Scream” and had his hood up over his head, police said.

A K-9 track was conducted that led the officers from CVS to the parking lot of the vacant building next door where the trail ended, police said.

Detectives are investigating. Anyone with any information is asked to call Detective David Galvin at 781-335-1212.
