Weymouth Dining Spots Left Off Boston Magazine's List of Best Restaurants

Weymouth chefs got no love from Boston Magazine.

This month, Boston Magazine released their list of the 50 Best Restaurants and forgot to include any of the great Weymouth dining spots.

Their list included restaurants from all over the Greater Boston area  but did not name a single one from Weymouth.

The Venetian, Ecco Trattoria, and Stockholders Restaurant were all left off the list. In fact, not one restaurant from the South Shore made the list while many were selected from the North Shore, South End, Harvard Square and Back Bay.

Do you agree with Boston Magazine?  Do you think the critics from  B Magazine have not spent enough time on the South Shore?  Or do you think Weymouth restaurants are just not good enought to be mentioned?

Let us know in the comments.

Take these facts into accout:

1) Some writers are just plain lazy and will gladly follow somebody else's lead rather than start from square one on their own.

2) Every Saturday and Sunday there is a popular local TV show that highlights Boston area restuarants; most of which are on the North Shore, or in downtown Boston. Why? Because the people who produce that same TV show just happen to live north of Boston and therefore focus upon those restuarants owned by "cronies" of theirs. Rarely are any of the South Shore eateries ever showcased and given the same amount of recognition. For every South Shore retaurant shown, they will showcase an average of five that are located on the North Shore.

Sounds to me like somebody may have copied somebody else's work.
