Lauren, I'm glad to see a prestigious university doing this study. I was diagnosed with panicRead Moreatta cks in my early 30's. I'd never heard of panic attacks & can tell you prior to a diagnosis. The attacks were terrifying. They still scare the daylights out of me but now at least I know the attack will eventually go away. I am now in my early 60's. I strongly urge you to post a brief, non-medical description of this disorder so that both parents and teens know what the signs/symptoms are. Left untreated panic attacks can become debilitating, frightening & are many times associated with other disorders such as depression, anxiety, etc. Thank you for posting info about this study.
