Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts to host annual 5K walk+run in Hingham 11/3/13 – open to public registration

WHAT: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) will host its annual 5K walk+run that will benefit United Way’s Thanksgiving Project.

WHEN: Saturday, November 3, 2013 from 10am-2pm

WHERE: BCBSMA Hingham Office at 25 Technology Place, Hingham (free parking on the premises)

DETAILS: Please join Blue Cross for their annual 5K walk+run in Hingham on November 3, 2013. The race is open to the public for first time and all proceeds will benefit United Way’s Thanksgiving project, which will provide a holiday meal for 5,000 families in need, distribute over 100,000 pounds of food, and serve 13 regions throughout Massachusetts including South Boston, Randolph, Dorchester, Lynn, and many more.

Family-friendly activities & lunch:

There will be fun, family-friendly activities including face painting and games throughout the day with lunch provided by the Area Four food truck. Lunch is free for all registered participants and available for purchase by spectators.

Prizes:

Blue Cross will hand out prizes for the fastest runner, best family-friendly post-Halloween costume, and the walker/runner from the middle of the pack.

The registration fee will be $10 per participant and all money raised will be donated to United Way. To register for the race, please visit our registration website.
