Weymouth Students Win New Bikes Thanks to Dependable Cleaners’ Read to Ride Program

(Quincy, Mass.) Dependable Cleaners is pleased to announce that Weymouth students Melissa Hubbel and Dylan Wilcox each won a new bike through its annual Read to Ride program. The program is designed to encourage student to keep up with their reading during the summer months. Students from ages 6-15 will have the chance to win a bike or an exciting prize for every book they read. Since the program’s inception in 1999, more than 61,000 books have been read.

Melissa is a fourth grader at Academy Avenue School in Weymouth and heard about the Read to Ride program at Tufts Library. She has read many books this summer and won her bike by reading “The Ghost of Crutchfield Hall” by Mary Downing Hahn. Dylan is a second grader at Thomas Hamilton Primary School in Weymouth, and has been busy reading books about trains, trucks and cars. Both winners dropped their entries off at the Dependable Cleaners located at 2 Winter Street in Weymouth.
