Weymouth Celebrity Wins Creative Arts Emmy Award

The 1989 Weymouth North High School graduate won another award last weekend.

Weymouth native Rob Corddry joined celebrities Neil Patrick Harris, Heidi Klum, Bob Newhart and Anthony Bourdain as winners of at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday,

Corddry earned his second consecutive  Creative Arts Emmy Award for  “Childrens Hospital,” which he created. 

The awards show is held a week before the main prime-time Emmy Awards, which will be held Sunday.

The "Children's Hospital" creator told Yahoo.com that he was "so (bleeping) hungry" after the long ceremony that earned him a repeat Emmy for his work on the satirical medical drama. "I would almost trade it for a sandwich," he joked. "And a bottle of water."

Corddry is a 1989 graduate of  Weymouth North High School a former Weymouth Eagle Scout who was born and raised in Weymouth.  He is the son of Robin and Steven Corddry, according to Wikipidea.

He is best known for his work as a correspondent on The Daily Show with John Stewart, and for his acting roles in the movies, "Hot Tub Time Machine and "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo."
