Weymouth City Singers Holds Auditions

Auditions for the 10-week program will be held Oct. 7.

The Weymouth City Singers are holding open auditions for any Weymouth school students in grades 2-5 who love to sing.

New and returning singers are invites to attend registration and audition on Oct. 7 at the Academy Avenue School from 4-5 p.m.

Weymouth City Singers provides programming that fills a void in the after-school education of children who would like to pursue enrichment in the arts, according to Weymouth Public Schools Community Relations Liason Beth Harris.

Rehearsals will be held on Mondays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Academy Avenue School. 

The program will be broken up into two sessions: Session #1 - October 7, 2013 to January 6, 2014 and  Session #2 - January 27 to April 14. Tuition costs $104 per child for each 10-week program and financial assistance is available based on need and availability of funds.

Performances will be held for family and friends on Nov. 3, Jan. 13 and April 14.
