Weymouth Woman Dies From EEE Virus

An 85-year-old Weymouth woman died suddenly of the EEE virus on Friday.


Janet Dignan of Weymouth died after contracting the virus from an infected mosquito, according to CBS Boston.

Dignan had lived in Weymouth for 59 years and leaves four sons, according to her obituary. She had worked for more than 20 years for the financial firm Standish Ayer & Wood in Boston.

The town of Weymouth is taking precautions. Spraying in scheduled for Weymouth Wednesday and Thursday evening.
