Family and Friends Remember Weymouth Murder Victim

A funeral service was held for Ronald Beaudry on Monday.

“My Country, 'Tis of Thee,” played inside the St. Francis Xavier Church on Monday morning in honor of Ronald Beaudry, a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran who died suddenly last week due to an alleged murder.

Many family and friends attended the funeral to say their final farewells, but one of Beaudry’s closest family members was missing.  His son Michael, was absent from the service.

Family members wept, while fellow service men bowed their heads to remember the 58-year-old's life.

One family member read an eulogy as she held back tears.

She described Beaudry as a loyal friend who loved to take walks, go fishing, and watch the NASCAR race in New Hampshire.

“There’s so many memories and that’s what will keep me smiling. ... I’m never going to say goodbye, because this is not goodbye,” she said. “I’ll see you again Ronnie.”

Beaudry's son is due back in court on Feb. 27.

Beaudry was an active member of the American Legion Post 79 in Weymouth.  He was raised and educated in Hyde Park, and had lived in Weymouth  for 35 years.
