Braintree Man Charged with Drug Dealing
Patrick M. Shea, 25, of 245 Elm St., Apt. 204, Braintree was arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges of possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute, distributing a Class B drug, possession of a Class C drug with intent to distribute, and a drug violation near a school or park. The case was continued to April 17. Shea was released on personal recognizance. The charges stem from a Oct, 26, 2012 incident in Weymouth as a narcotics officers were monitoring a business at Weymouth Landing on Washington Street for drug activity. At 7:32 p.m., police said they observed an alleged drug sale and confronted Shea, who allegedly said, "I gave him Suboxone," according to the police report. Police searched Shea's vehicle and recovered 2.5 pills of Suboxone, 9 Clonazepam tablets, 1 mg. each. The incident allegedly occurred within 300 feet of the Sacred Heart School, police said.
Weymouth Man Charged with Threatening to Commit Crime

Thomas J. Purdy, 36, of 121 Pilgrim Road, South Weymouth was to be araigned in Quincy District Court on a charge of threatening to commit a crime but did not show up in court. A judge issued a default warrant. The charge stems from a March 16, 2012 incident in Braintree at 8:30 p.m. when police responded to a report of a threatening cell phone message.
