Police Detectives arrested three men during an alleged crack cocaine sale in East Weymouth on Friday.

Detectives arrested Antonio Rodrigues Jr., 26 of Dorchester, Jason Barbosa, 28 of Brockton and Timothy Santos, 34 of Quincy in connection with the alleged drug sale, police said.

The arrests were made after detectives observed a white Ford pick-up conducting a quick drug transaction in the area of Charles Street and Skelley Avenue at 6 p.m..

Detectives stopped the buyer after the deal and recovered several rocks of crack cocaine, Hingham Police Captain Richard Fuller confirmed.

A short time late, the  Ford pick-up was stopped at Jenny’s Market on Middle Street where police witnessed Rodrigues in the passenger seat swallowing what was believed to be additional bags of cocaine, Fuller said.

The operator, Santos, had a suspended license to operate and  the rear passenger, Barbosa was found to be in possession of an ounce of marijuana and also packaging consistent with the sale of drugs, police said.

Inside the vehicle, police found seven cellular telephones and more than $1,800 in cash.

All three were arrested and charged with distribution of cocaine, were held on $25,000 cash bail and were transported to Quincy District Court on Monday morning. The buyer, a known drug user, will receive a criminal complaint.

Charles Street and Skelley Ave. in Weymouth run parallel, they do not run ito each other, so there is no corner.
