Two Weymouth Residents Arrested After Alleged Heroin Sale

Detectives arrested two Weymouth residents yesterday after they were involved in a heroin sale.

Police arrested two Weymouth resident on Wednesday after an alleged heroin sale at a South Weymouth apartment.

Weymouth narcotics detectives arrested Michael J. Dawe, 26,  after they believe he was distributing heroin from his apartment located on 139 Rockway Ave, according to  Weymouth Police Captain Richard Fuller.

As a result of an ongoing investigation detectives obtained a search warrant for Dawe’s apartment and observed a female pull up to it at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and conduct what they believed to be a drug transaction with Dawe, police said.

Police stopped the female, Katie R. Cipullo, 24 of 17 Lakehurst Ave, Weymouth, recovered the heroin and arrested her. Cipullo told police that she bought the heroin from Dawe. 

When police arrived at Dawe’s apartment at 9:30 p.m. to execute the search warrant they recovered several bags of heroin as well as other evidence related to the distribution of heroin and several prescription pills, Fuller said in a written release.

Dawe is being charged with distribution of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, conspiracy to violate the drug laws, and possession of class E drugs.

Police arrested Cipullo for possession of heroin and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. She was also found to be in possession of several prescription pills and was also charged with 2 counts of possession of class E

 Dawe was held overnight on $5,000 bail while Cipullo was released on personal recognizance, police said. Both are due to be arraigned in Quincy Court on Thursday.
