Weymouth Man Gets Two Years in Prison For Child Rape

An 85-year-old Weymouth man has been sentenced to two years in jail for child rape and starting a fire that destroyed his minivan and garage and burned part of another building last summer.

Robert Swart of Weymouth pleaded guilty in Norfolk Superior Court last week to statutory rape of a child, burning a motor vehicle, a building and contents from the building,  according to WCVB.com 

Swart was also given  five years probation once he’s released from jail and have to register as a sex offender.

He will also receive counseling, have no unsupervised contact with children and stay away from the victim.
