Weymouth Elks Holds Essay Contest About National Anthem

All entrees should be submitted to a Local Elks Lodge by Jan. 10.

The Weymouth Elks are asking students to write about what the National Anthem means to them. 

The Elks will hold a 250 word essay contest for Weymouth school students in grades 5-8 in which entrees must answer the question “What Does the National Anthem Mean to Me?”

The contest will be broken up into two Divisions: Grades 5&6 and Grades 7&8.  

The first place winner from each division will receive $1,000, second prize will be $500 and third place will be awarded $250.
