Weymouth Football Team Left Off ESPN’s Top 25

ESPN did not mention Weymouth on their top 25 pre-season rankings.

The Weymouth High School Football team was just one game away from a Super Bowl last year, yet that wasn’t enough for the team to top ESPN’s top 25 list.

St. John’s Prep tops the MIAA football Top 25 list.  Weymouth’s Thanksgiving Day rival, Walpole ranks 14.

Although the Wildcats were left off the pre-season rankings, ESPN did select them to their “Last 10 Out” list as one of the best 10 teams that didn’t make the cut.

Last November, the Wildcats fell to Brockton in the EMass Division 1 semifinals, just shy of a Super Bowl appearance.
