Monday Essentials: Butterflies, Trivia, Pajama Party in Weymouth

No plans this week? Here’s a list of local events in and around Weymouth:

1.  On Tuesday, Geeks who Drink Pub Trivia will be held at 8 p.m. at Hajjars.

2.  Kids will test their summer reading skills on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the  7th Annual Battle of the Books, Jr. Edition at the Weymouth Tufts Library. Children will be quizzed on books they read this summer.

3. Also Wednesday at the library will be a pajama story time at 6:30 p.m.

4. Hotel Transylvania will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. outdoors at the Ralph Talbot Amphitheater.

5. There will be 500 butterflies flying free at the Butterfly Release party at Hidden Pond behind the Derby Street Shoppes on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will have crafts, refreshments and face painting.
